SimCity for the real world.

Civic Sandbox is a platform where urbanists, residents, cities, and developers co-design vibrant urban villages, delivering developers and investors projects that move forward with less opposition, fewer sunk costs, and stronger returns.

Our mission: empower Americans to design the future of their cities before the 2028 election and meet the 2030 climate deadline.

Civic Sandbox turns community input into real, licensable projects.

Why 2028 ?

2028 isn’t arbitrary—it’s the window. The presidential election opens civic imagination, while the 2030 climate deadline demands shovel-ready projects. By scaling before then, Civic Sandbox positions itself at the center of both.

We don’t chase parcels—we curate urban villages.

  • 55+ sites in San José alone, worth billions.

  • 200+ across the Bay Area, all pre-identified by cities.

Civic Sandbox organizes this pipeline, pre-matches developers, and ensures projects actually get built.

Founder

Basil Saleh began by leading neighborhood visioning projects in San José. Frustrated by how hard it was for communities to shape long-term change, he set out to give people real power to design the future of their cities.

Why Now

for Investors

We’re raising $1M pre-seed to prove the loop: community input → design brief → licensable project.

Acting now means owning early stakes in a global portfolio of urban villages.
